Real Eyes Realize Real Lies

Lies…lies…using lies as alibis, using lies as alibis. Lies, lies…just a Devil in disguise, just a devil in disguise! What’s the biggest lie people tell, the one you can’t deny or decline? It’s when you ask someone how they’re doing, and they look at you and say “I’m fine.”

Emotions are like Easter eggs, they’re hidden all over the place. We bury them so deep inside ourselves, that we can’t even say I’m fine with a straight face. The road can get rather rough sometimes, it’s not always as smooth as silk. How many are still out there waiting for someone, who said they’re going out for milk?

Shattered dreams and heartbreak, and people that actually do you wrong. Trust me these things in the long run, will actually make you quite strong. You take a test and fail, of course you’re gonna get mad. You study and learn from your mistakes, and the next time you pass.Against the grain should be a way of life. What’s worth the prize is always worth the fight. Every second counts cause there’s no second try. So live like you’ll never live it twice. Don’t take a free ride in your own life!

…………………………………………………………..

Pessimist and optimist can never be the same height, and that statement is no lie. Because these two type of people, will never see eye to eye. Now let’s be a realist, here’s another quick lesson. Can you start a sentence with the word “why”, and not make it into question? Let’s hop back on the freeway, because deviating may come at a cost. Our subject has been found, so no need to get lost.Seems like you’re getting dealt a bad hand, there’s no way up but down? Your face can only go in one direction, and that’s actually to frown. I’ve had that hand many times, and trust me it’s not cool. And I reshuffled the deck again, then I reached in and pulled out the fool.

I thought to myself to give up, it would just keep getting hard. But as the Joker smiled at me, I decided to embrace that card. You look at yourself in the mirror sometimes, and convince yourself you’re okay. Go out and meet and greet the people, and end up lying to them all day. So you should learn to read people, and be careful who you do wrong. Because I hear people who smile a lot, usually have an idea of what’s going on.I glow inside this light, I see new life unfold. Each second I burn brighter, your fire is going cold. You could try to beg for mercy, go ahead and try to run. No escape and no redemption. Understand the ends begun!

We can eliminate our robotic responses, and wonder if people are buying. Quit acting like carpet and rugs, and just stop lying. It’s a proven fact, that it takes less energy to smile. And it’s a step in the right direction, to bring yourself up for the while. So when someone says how are you, your confidence will be headed to the roof. You can say I’m feeling fine, and it’ll probably be the truth!

Be good to yourself so you can be good to the ones who matter most.🌹

  1. Love how you compared emotions to Easter eggs. Never thought of it like that.
And the post is so good. Reminded me of Little Lies by Fleetwood Mac and even Lies by Diana Ross?

  2. I loved the wordplay especially in the title.
We usually do hiding our emotions and hiding our emotions causes us to lie to the ones we love.
Sometimes the ones we love most are the ones we lie to the most.
    This was very well written!
Lies will eventually come to the light

    1. So true, the ones that love are the ones that lie and they do it out of love they say……lies as alibis. Lies do stand eventually.

      5. I know I never bother to conclude that story..

Because it’s ongoing and I really don’t know which direction I should take…

I think I’m going to work on it though.. with a epilogue

      6. Hey 👋..

You summarize it just as is…

To give you a little update….

He has taken a job out of state… and only comes back once a month..,

And he has found a new interest ..

And she is missing his ass..

But I think 🤔 he’s moving beyond her… but still communicates via text messages…

I will reveal everything else when I get to write that conclusion

      7. I really have a lot to unfinished stories hanging..
        like..CHICO..

( he died on March 16th… I have been in mourning since)

        REFLECTION.. My Life Story…

I really need to try to continue those first…

      8. Ahh😕. Sorry to hear that. It takes time and we find our strength through doing the things we enjoy after a while. Reflection is a part of life but only when you look in a mirror. Moving forward is the testament of strength, it doesn’t mean forgetting, it means accepting. Keep him in your heart❤️

      9. Thank you 🙏 joker…

I’m trying so hard to keep it under…

My sister is trying so hard to wipe him out of her life..
She gives everything away and throw everything that reminds her of him..

I find that so cold and very convincing that she really never loved him at all

      10. Joker…

        It still erks me so..

And I get so offended that she is trying so hard to get rid of him so easily and so quickly..

It’s so funny that the very day after his death she calls social security trying to get his check… and get child support for her daughter.. who hated his ass and told him…. she couldn’t wait for him to die…

Of course she didn’t get either.. and she lost that months check that would have been hers if she waited a little before calling…

        SMH 🤦‍♀️…
she forgets so easily.. all the good he did for her…

      11. Some people are like that and those are the ones that end up hurting the most in the end because they are cold and alone inside. She has no control of her life and her feelings will consume her, that’s why she’ll never be at peace.
There are no winners in a situation like this but she’s losing big.

You do possess a wide sense of understanding..
and you really knows how to evaluate every situation in a logical and practical manner..

You are so right with your observations…
and thank for opening up my view of her behavior..

I guess I’m just too close to see it as you so cleverly suggested…

I have to agree with you.. it makes a lot of sense

      13. A window shopper saves a lot more money than someone who is inside the store, I just call it how I see it. You’re closer to the action lovely so you can only step back so far. Besides, people see family from a different light regardless. But, these are just my opinions I add😉. You also make some good points too.

      14. I know reflection is something we do sometimes.. and I have really overcome it all..
and have moved way beyond it..

I left it in the past where it belongs..

It really doesn’t have any effects on me anymore

  4. Sigh. Fact of life. We all lie, not realizing that people can tell that it’s a lie. Especially the ones who care for us, they know, they truly know. Love the message of this piece, Roy. Such a masterpiece yet again!

Tbh, it’s your style of writing that inspires me to improve and be better. You are so clever! Oh, did that rhyme? Haha. Your rhymes tho are way way better. Keep it up!!! ♥️♥️♥️

    1. Sad but a true fact albeit unintentional or not, we lie and others know. Like I said, when people smile, they usually know what’s going on. That’s why if a person lies, only lie down…that way they can stand for something later.

Honestly, it’s hard for me to be better when I see so much of myself inside of you. I’m merely trying to keep up with your talents lovely. We are all on the playing fields with different styles, your writing pushes me actually so in turn we drive each other. And yes😉, your line did rhyme!!! Oh, did did mine!😁. Haha. Thank you so much for reading, your comments mean the world to me. Stay you and stay true and be beautiful. ❤️❤️

    1. Exactly, I believe that word has become more of a reflex more than anything now. Sorta like when someone sneezes and we automatically say bless you. I’m fine is a reflex, lie or not and it’s the most common lie that we don’t realize. Thanks for your insight, we’re not alone….we’re fine.😉

  5. Another great post. The worst lies of all are the ones we tell ourselves. The post started out in one direction and went down a different road. Totally engrossed in your thoughts. I love the way you ended this post. We do need to remember to be good to ourselves.

      1. I’ve become kinda keen at reading, like I said, I’m an avid reader. I write with emotion and I like to get my readers to think, it makes things interesting. Can’t be afraid to let things out, keep it genuine, that’s how you break down walls.
